Thomas T. Veblen
Thomas Thorstein Veblen is an American forester and geographer. Together with Claudio Donoso he is one of the foremost experts in nothofagus forest dynamics. He has been active as a professor in the University of Colorado Boulder since 1981. Between 1975 and 1979 he was active at the Austral University of Chile. Most of his work has been carried out in Argentina, Chile, Guatemala, New Zealand and the state of Colorado.
Since 1991 Veblen is Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of New Zealand. In 2000, Veblen was the recipient of a "Carl O. Sauer Distinguished Scholar Award".
